May 2, 2026 — Galveston City Council

This Race Has No Runoff

One election. One shot. Your vote decides the seat.

Last time, 78 votes made the difference in District 3. This isn’t a primary with a second chance in November — the winner on May 2 walks away with it. Here’s how to make sure your vote counts.

Vote early if you can. Every early ballot banked is one we don’t have to chase on Election Day.

Why Your Vote Matters More Than You Think

In 2024, 672 people decided who represents District 3. Not 672,000. Six hundred and seventy-two. I won by 78 of them.

This year, with a contested mayor’s race on the ballot, turnout will be higher — but the math is the same. A few dozen voters in either direction decide this race.

I’m asking you to be one of them.
